Today's Flowers: Apple of my Eye

What part of Connecticut you from?
The cold part.
Me, too.  Came down to warm up.
When'd you get here?
Twelve years ago.

I had this conversation with the exterminator this morning.  He has a big ol' Southern accent now, but the words between us got me thinking there's something of Connecticut that just stays with you.  And that's OK.

Though there's not much cold here, there aren't any flowers, either.  So I opted for this apple, born, as it was, of a pretty, fragrant little blossom not so many moons ago.

  3. Lovely shot. I'm worried about our mild winter this year in central NC because flowers have started way to early and it's down to 21 tonight so I know there will be a lot of dead ones in the morning.

  11. I've lived in New Mexico for almost 30 years. New York is still a big part of me.

It's nice to think about the apple and the blossoms. Very nice picture.

  19. Probably you didn't need an exterminator in Connecticut! We didn't in Oregon, but we sure do here in Florida -- for prevention, not (knock wood) cure.
