Five days of rain gave way to an evening of sunshine and intense warmth on Friday. The grass was tall and beautiful. Mother Nature does marvelous things; I love when she is left to her own devices.
We havw had a lot of tears of the gods but this is a hot sunshiny day. I played on my cd player The physics of time and my time is nowon yjr DrsPlains river nea4r Chicago. I salute u as a teacher who makes them thing!
What a wonderful sequence, Sandy. Watching your photos I feel the fresh sweet-smelling country air, I'd like to take a walk in that fabulous landscape.
Hi Sandy Great pictures and I do agree with your last sentence.. We have a small field that is behind our house... this field is surrounded by other houses which all back onto it... at one time the field was used as a play area for local children which was great.. until the night time when older kids would abuse the field and the gardens it backed onto... I campaigned to get it gated off... and left for the local wildlife to use... now 10 years or so on it is a little haven for all kinds of things. foxes mate and rear their young under a neigbours shed, hedgehogs over winter there, frog and toads live in the long grass... wild flowers and weeds have taken over and this as attracted the birds and bees.. bats are now seen more often flying over at dawn and dusk hunting winged insects.. I do hope mother natures is allowed to stay so close by looking after this small area. Tom :O) My blogs today show Meadow Views and Butterfly's

Sandy I could not agree with you more. Our world would be so much better if we let nature take her own course and we learned to live with her rather than change or challlenge her. Your photos are wonderful, I would love to walk along that road to that meadow at dusk. Thank you so much for sharing your world. Blessings and smiles
How neat to be reminded of the connection between "lush" and "lucious" -- such a wonderful word for the way the world around me has been looking recently in its overflowing greenness.
If I had my way, there'd be 'natural habitat' all over my little lot, but the town would come, cut it down and overcharge me for it, or fine me, or both.
That lush greeness is the best part of spring, Sandy, and what I anticipate most dearly each year. I love your photo of the lane. There's something about it that invites a stroll.
