The first shot is the Thomaston Opera House. Below it is the factory that produced those Seth Thomas timepieces that put Connecticut on the map many moons ago. (The clock at Grand Central Station in New York City came from Thomaston.) No matter where you look in Thomaston, it seems there's a clock on a tower with the exact time!

Such a contrast from our little world...that's what I love about blogging! I learn so much.
Hmmm. A town governed by clocks on towers and in factories, one step beyond the usual clock at the side of the bed or in the kitchen! ;-)

Have a Happy Easter! As usual, I'm the last one in line being on Maui as I am. :-0 Have a wonderful Easter! I'll be on a loooong vacation so you won't see my posts for awhile....I really need to take a break from my blogging addiction. :-)
I think the clock towers are awesome! I wish we had those around here.
I wish you a very fantastic Easter Sandy.
Beautiful photo!!
Happy easter to you.
Very beautiful sky :-)
Wonderful clock tower.
I especially like that first one. The sky is so blue. Clock towers have so much character.
These are beautiful.
Lovely pictures. I like towns with lots of clocks, it is always handy and I like being able to rely on them and know the ones that are stuck! I don't wear a watch as I just check on the time all the time but when you are out and about it's good to know a few fixed spots where you can keep an eye on it if you need to!
I LOVE them both! I love to see clocks like these! That BLUE sky in the first one is stunning!
Gorgeous pictures, Sandy!
Beautiful Skywatch photo. Thanks for sharing.
Time tells History.
Wonderful pictures, Sandy!
Happy Easter!
Oh I remember the day I went there and got my Kit Kat Klock. It was a memorable day. The area has so much history. I'm so glad you give me the connections back to the good parts of Connecticut.
Wow- such beautiful photos! The sky is gorgeous.
Love the photos showing the blue sky and tower Sandy. It's nice that the clocks are taken care of too and always show the right time. Very helpful for people catching trains from the station.
