(The miracle in this poem was for me the moment this child lived a haiku poem though she was disengaged from the beauties in our textbook. She had an enlightened moment, though she didn't see it that way when I pointed it out to her!)

It's wonderful to be able to help children recognize the beauty in what they have seen and their ability to express that wonder in words.

How wonderful to have an aha moment... Love that glorious shot!
It's a spontaneous intense expression well accompanied by the nice image.
You can't beat those moments.
And your picture with the rainbow making an exclamation point.
moments when innocence is noticed are so innocent, so beautiful!

That's a wonderful miracle. Jumping contexts like that is amazing and so well put. Thanks for a little brightness in my grey coastal CT morning.
nature can be powerful, we had needed rain last night- a delicious sound in the desert-rain drops falling off the roof.
Beautiful and enlightening.

sweet...lovely!!
Catching that moment is wonderful. You are so subtle, and ingenious, at the same time somehow.
How fortunate for you that you were able to catch this moment in the form of a lovely haiku!
I love the photograph as well. That rainbow in the background is stunning! :)
And I hope she saw a rainbow like that after the rain!
what glory! Thanks for sharing that moment with us so beautifully, Sandy

As inspiring as the rainbow itself. A beautiful moment.
Very nice haiku and miracle! I must admit, though, that your explanation greatly helped to understand.
Such a beautiful photo! And lovely words from a child.. and even more lovely that you recognized it and told her.. :)
We don't ever forget those perfect moments in time!
That sky is full of poetry. Such a beautiful post Sandy.
