I went up figuring I would take in the landscape at the close of spring, and I did exactly that--in addition to taking in this miniature art show. I love graffiti, and I was thrilled to find these pieces by "Melissa E." These ladies stand about six inches tall. (I will take these again when the sun is not shining on them.)

What a wonderful world you have. It would be worth it to climb to the top and see that view. I haven't come up with anything yet for my world, this is reminding me to try.

Yikes! I'm also not comfortable with heights but force myself to tackle a few things I really want to experience. Like climbing hundreds of steps to the top of a lighthouse in Key West. A 360 degreee view! My most challenging conquest was crossing the Continental Divide in Colorado multiple times during a 2-week road trip. I was on the verge of hyperventilating nearly the entire time, but the views were breathtaking (no pun intended). I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

ReplyDeleteI love climbing these old rickety towers to look out upon the landscape. It always makes me feel so small to look out over the tree tops, occasionally seeing a bird pop up into view then disappear into the sea of green leaves. Sort of like looking out over the ocean and seeing a fish jump out of the water then disappear.
ReplyDeleteUsually those fire towers are really shaky and old and I try to avoid them. A real artist had been up there!
