I have photographed this solitary tree at Topsmead Park in Litchfield on brighter days and enjoyed its color; on Saturday, the fog helped me enjoy it in silhouette.

  1. This single apple tree reminds of a sentry standing a lonely post in the fog shrouded hillsides of a distant long forgotten battle!

    Great Picture!

  2. Doesn't mist often look beautiful! We get a lot of it here too.
A landscape in mist can look like a water painting, as though nature makes a joke with words.

We don't have much fog where we are at and we need to go a bit far to experience this. We love it anyway :)

I love this tree so much. Sandy, could I use it sometime for a poem. It seems a poem of sorts, should go with this solitary tree.

What a web of branches. The weather really accentuates their shapes and wovenness (is that a word?) I don't know...I know what I mean but I can't find the word I'm looking for.
