I have photographed this solitary tree at Topsmead Park in Litchfield on brighter days and enjoyed its color; on Saturday, the fog helped me enjoy it in silhouette.
Doesn't mist often look beautiful! We get a lot of it here too. A landscape in mist can look like a water painting, as though nature makes a joke with words.
What a web of branches. The weather really accentuates their shapes and wovenness (is that a word?) I don't know...I know what I mean but I can't find the word I'm looking for.

This single apple tree reminds of a sentry standing a lonely post in the fog shrouded hillsides of a distant long forgotten battle!
