Today's Flowers: Thriving Holly

The crimson berries on my parents' holly bushes glowed beautifully in the early morning sunlight today--approximately 6 hours before the snow-bearing clouds drifted in and gave the news people something to talk about.  The weather one day can bring amazes me.  We started with balmy breezes and sunshine and ended shivering in the snow.

  7. We had a holly "bush" in our backyard that was about 20 feet high. Totally out of control. We had to cut it down. I think the birds miss it.

  8. Beautiful holly viewing. The weather here in central Jutland (DK) is soon thaw / freeze soon, yet the soil is white. Wish you a good Sunday :) Hanne Bente

  10. Sounds like a typical winter day. The holly berries are gorgeous. I am surprised that a mockingbird hasn't moved in to gobble them up.

  14. That's like Colorado weather (we have kids who live there). I think I'd be (even more) crazy if I lived there...never knowing what to expect. The weather has always been changeable there, but it's not supposed to be like that where you are!!

The holly is (or at least was) beautiful.
