I love North Carolina for a lot of reasons, but one of the primary reasons is the blue. The sky is at once within reach and well beyond reach. Ours is a tenable position; we can dream, and we can make our dreams real.
We drove many times to Florida from Canada and one of the worst storms was around north and south carolina where the rain fell like, in bucket fulls. It was like standing under a waterfall. You couldn't see even to pull over. Finally we did find a place but I havent seen rain like that even in monsoon season in Asia. The next day was beautiful, like nothing happened. In Florida we saw boat grave yards We didn't understand why and thought gosh people really don't take care of their things but now, with all these hurricanes on TV, we know.lol
