White's Flower Farm in Litchfield, Connecticut has the most beautiful zinnias I have ever seen (which is why I posted one as part of last week's Today's Flowers). I don't know what magic they do to keep the bugs from eating them up, but magic they do. The flower farm welcomes people to walk around and enjoy its gardens, and that's pretty cool. All over the place, people had their camera phones out to hold onto the beauty after they left. Technology can be a blessing for reasons like this one

They are blooming like they were meant to be zinnias! I love it when flowers are loved enough to do that.

ReplyDeletethese are some gorgeous flowers and very well photographed.
happy weekend!:))
This double colored one is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe see single colored ones commonly here.
A friend of mine grew this zinnia this summer. It is a new color (to me). I hope to grow them next summer. Zinnias are hardy annuals. They don't have many bug enemies. They do get mildew if under stress but that doesn't stop them from blooming. They are wonderful cut flowers too.
ReplyDeleteoooo such vibrant colors...i love it!
