Today's Flowers: Arose

From August 18, 2011

Here is a rose I came across at the New Hanover County Arboretum in Wilmington, North Carolina, last week with my daughter.

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. (Dale Carnegie)

  12. The Dale Carnegie quote is wonderful and sad at the same time -- sad because it's true. The rose is beautiful. It looks like Double Delight, which means it has a nice fragrance to go with its beautiful looks.
