Not a great photo. But the moment. Peace and solitude and the surf caressing North Topsail Beach into the quiet of sleep and Christmas was over--but the magic of winter only begun.... Happy Day.
I love this photo ~ you always seem to have your camera with you at just the right moment. You have a natural eye. Hoping for some more real snowflakes so I can get out on my snowshoes!
Now that is the kind of snowflake I like! And the kind of photograph that brings warmth to the heart. It really is lovely. Happy New Year to you and yours.

We saw similar decorations in Calabash, North Carolina just before Christmas.
