This amazing flower was a Christmas gift from my nephew to my dad. I didn't see this tropical marvel grow, but I had the pleasure of enjoying its blossoms when my daughter and I stopped by on Friday. There's a universe of secret places in each blossom.

The lighting in this is superb Sandy. And I love the angle you got on the (searching 10th grade bio for the word) stamens(?). Looks something like a hand with one finger beckoning. (I seem to see that in a lot of things lately... wonder what that's about)
ReplyDeleteI have a whole collection of photos of the Amaryllis that pops up in... oh I guess April or early May in the beds by my parking deck. (Or at least that's what I'm told they are) Huge blossoms in vibrant red that will not be ignored.
