Out for a walk on Veteran's Day, I found myself enjoying the most intense daylight in the inky waters of the Pomperaug River. The sun seemed too tired and week to melt the haze around it and claim the day. It was a beautiful, quiet morning that felt like snow.

That photo is so softly vivid (is that a contradiction?) that I can almost feel the temperature. And smell the promise of snow.

Even them (sun, stars, moon and the sky overall) do feel weary and tired. They have unspoken emotions which are rather visible but strongly emitted to human sensations.
