She is a retired minister's wife in California and she has a very inspirational blog too. I also just discovered a monk in California who does a blog for DailyCity Photo. His blog is MONASTARY DAILY PHOTO if you want to check it out.
Crusty and rusty indeed. It took me a little while to see the full face, beard, etc. At first it looked like an abstract sculpture, except for the "hair".
