Over the past few weeks, I have been gladder than glad that I voted as I did last November. This week, I read two very sensible blog posts that I wish I could have written. If you have time, try a little of this and that. Please.
P.S. Get this: Thursday Matt told me he was done with book three of the Percy Jackson series. He said when he came in, "So I was thinking. Why don't you go up and get me the next book, and when I come back from breakfast I'll pick it up." He had worked out the logistics of his breakfast and my hall duty so he wouldn't have to go a school day without a book. I love that kid.

This is a very good fortune.
ReplyDeleteJust keep on movin.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible to find a lot of wisdom in a fortune cookie.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the false step can be avoided by standing still though. Or at least by stopping momentarily.
ReplyDeleteBut moving or not, a great many of those false steps are born of indecision.
Wouldn't you say?
And I have to tell ya, a kid who loves to read like that? Is a joy.
Will these numbers strike the Toto in Singapore? Ha ha. ;p

ReplyDeleteThank you for "this" and "that" .. I truly feel blessed because folks ain't making sense these days, and I have been wondering if it's a hormone problem?

Sandy, there are six numbers there on which I could put a bet in the Superenalotto lottery: the jackpot this week is more than 50 millions euros!

ReplyDeletethe problem with standing still - opportunities will pass you by..

A kid that reads is a wonderful thing! A blessing to us all.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Wonderful blessing Sandy :)
ReplyDeletekeep moving and don't look back.
ReplyDeleteI love that fortune; how true and oftentimes how hard to remember.
ReplyDeleteMuch enjoyed both This and That, and agree wholeheartedly. My niece sent me one of her Christian-right hatemails about Obama, and how he's plotting to make the US a socialist country. I reminded her that as a recipient of WIC, food stamps, and medicaid, she shouldn't complain about such a mild brand of 'socialism'---her response can be summarised by "duh, huh?" and then she sent me more propaganda. You laugh or you cry.
So good to hear that Matt's asking for books; I love a reader!
great fortune! Go Matt! Way to go Sandy the teacher!
