I haven't left the boneyard yet. There was plenty to see and enjoy there. Color me morbid, but I love these places were the trees get a bit of a break and grow as they please for as long as they can. These graceful limbs captured my imagination. It seemed to me they were responding to the same music as they grew.

This tree is beautiful, it looks like a very profound symbol or two people dancing.
ReplyDeleteNothing morbid about something that artistically beautiful.
Lovely! They could be dancing, or throwing their arms wide for a big hug about to happen. Marvelous trees!
ReplyDeleteThe trees did take some twist and turns as they go larger. Nothing wrong with spending time in a bone yard, they can be very fascinating.
ReplyDeletenice sentiment of the music and of course in a way very true because they did respond to the same orchestration of the elements-and seasons growing right next to each other in harmony
ReplyDeleteThese limbs do seem to hear their own music and create special "body" art in response! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, the dancing trees growing to music! I'm certain you have it right, too!
ReplyDeleteExcellent and unique, I love this pic.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Oh yes, what a fascinating tangle :-)
ReplyDeleteLike life, this tree has twists and turns and leads the eye up to the sky!
ReplyDeleteThe tree trunks look so graceful. Yes, perhaps they are listening and growing to the same music.
ReplyDeleteThis post moved me in a stenge way.., but i loved it, and read the words many times :-))
ReplyDeletehugs from Anne in Norway.
I am with you on those trees. What a great post.
ReplyDeleteReally nice! Trees facinates me too. It seems they all have a dancce and a story to tell. Shall we swap tree photos?
ReplyDeleteThe blue skies in the backdrop makes a good contrast of the trunks. Mmmm, let my imagination run, a couple dancing the Tango? Very cool shot!
ReplyDeleteYou looked up and got a wonderful pic. I probably would have been to busy reading the stones and would have missed it.
ReplyDeleteThey grow like a dance winding and curving together. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI too like to photograph trees. The graceful branches against that fabulous blue is endearing.
ReplyDeleteis it already friday watch? oh good glad to find out it's only thursday....whew!
ReplyDeleteSandy, this is such a fabulous shot! I, too, see the trees dancing, open arms and reaching up! Really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey look like free spirits! Beautiful tree branches and bright blue sky!
ReplyDeletei do so like bare trees against brilliant skies...beautiful capture.
ReplyDeleteOh - the branches are stretching for the sun! And it is here at last!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Nature is so often constrained and managed. A bit of chaos works well.
ReplyDeleteIs that kinda like a Zentangle? (I've only recently discovered that those have a real official name.)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's morbid at all to like naturally occurring trees. Quite the opposite in fact. But I suppose the "morbid" part comes from the fact that you were in a cemetery at the time, huh? Big squeaking deal. Tress grow where they grow.
As I scrolled down, I saw that someone else said it looks like they are dancing. That was exactly my reaction. So appealing and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe same music ... What a lovely thought. Your photo is very lovely too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sandy. I love how your mind works! I think I can hear that music!
ReplyDeleteThey look like they're doing the tango.Maybe they should be on Dancing With The Stars?
ReplyDeleteVery nice, those trees are magnificent!
ReplyDeleteLoved the idea of trees growing up with music to make their shapes. The trunks on this photo are very interesting and one wonders what really has shaped them that way throughout the years that they have been standing there growing ever bigger.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of my Pecan Trees, all brambly and twisted and happy!
ReplyDeleteGraceful limbs is a poetic way of describing such an eerie tree.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I am not able to view this image :-(
ReplyDeleteWonder if anybody else has this problem!
Grace and movement captured so well.Lovely pictures and I agree they do look to be swaying to some unheard music
ReplyDeleteOld, gnarled trees are the best, especially against a blue sky.
ReplyDeleteAa the trees sing, ":Let's get together yeah yeah yeah. . . " I like that group of trees also.
ReplyDeleteI love these shots also. The trees are magnificent. I am so enjoying similar shots from here in NYC.
ReplyDeleteTake that photo every week at the same time...wonderful to see how the leaf growth will change.
ReplyDeleteLovely view of the blue sky throught the trees. Have a nice weekend, Sandy.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful sky setting off the lovers. I enjoy cemeteries too. Odd I guess. Yet so peaceful.
ReplyDeletelets go listen to the music this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can see why you enjoy these so much. I do, too!
ReplyDeleteThey are dancing to their own music. Thanks. You have an eye Sandy!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your lines I too feel the limbs are dancing to some music.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about a boneyard, especially the older ones that changes us. We become more contemplative. Everything slows down, and our thoughts change.
ReplyDeleteBowers of music

I like pictures like this one for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis is a unique tree with some unique shapes , I wonder what kind of tree it is
ReplyDeleteThe bones of the trees are surely interesting in their shapes!
ReplyDeleteVery nice patterns of the trees branches!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sky Watch!
This tree is wildly shaped!
ReplyDeletei love bare trees that show their essence.
ReplyDeleteEven the trees seem serene in such places.
ReplyDeleteactually wonder how the trees decide to curve right or left. they just form it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteLet's them grow. As in their natural element.
ReplyDeleteThat way they can grow their own way to reach the sun light.
I like to take photos of trees when their leaves have all dropped off. They look so lonely and bare.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant minds think alike! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue sky with wild limbs.
I think it takes maturity to appreciate trees without leave. They are poetic sculptures. What stories out of the past they could share with us if only they could.
ReplyDeleteYou're not morbid at all! Wait til you see the cemetery we found a week ago! You'll like it I think. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the tangle of trees!
Love it!Have a nice weekend:)
ReplyDeleteLovely graceful limbs against a blue blue sky always catches my eye- as well. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love the twisted limbs and the color of the sky is so rich.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday Sandy.
I was going to say it is clearly a picture of two trees dancing, when I saw the first commenter had already said that. But I wonder if it would have been as clear if you hadn't captured the movement in this frame, nice shot :)
ReplyDeleteThey look like they're hugging or dancing, lovely.
ReplyDeleteI finally get to see pictures at your blog again, after a while
ReplyDeleteLovely skywatch,
what a blue there...and trees -- wonderful! :)

devika
