To understand this
Is not necessary.
To accept it is to live

ReplyDeleteSplendid poem, Sandy. And I fully agree upon the concept.
ReplyDeletei like the simpleness yet complexity of what you are writing about
ReplyDeleteVery well said, very inspiring! Words are powerful. It changes lives!
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy the way your mind works. The way you smith a word into such strong statements.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much in that little word 'be'. I think to some extent you and I were thinking along the same lines week - being and the Word.
ReplyDeleteI would like to ditto what Lisa at Greenbow said. I also enjoyed your cherry blossom blessing - such fragile, fleeting beauty that repetitively returns.
ReplyDeletethats a great lovely photo
ReplyDeletehave a great day and happy weekend
Lovely post, Sandy...simply lovely
ReplyDeleteSandi
So simple, yet so difficult to achieve - to just be. Lovely, Sandy.
ReplyDeleteI guess there is an active Be and a passive Be. One is to accept the other watches tv.

ReplyDeleteWow, Sandy! An incredible poem! :)
ReplyDeleteWORD! (as from the Urban Dictionary that you taught me). Truly a lovely poem.
ReplyDelete"Is to believe
ReplyDeleteIs to be able to say
I am"
to believe takes us to a powerful experience of life. wonderful poem Sandy~
This sort of reminds me of an old Moody Blues song but I can't recall the title. Went something like "I think. I think I am." And then some other stuff. It wasn't as eloquent as this, but that's just rock 'n' roll.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous Sandy. As always.
thank you Sandy for I will never look at "be" the same again!
ReplyDeleteThis is what I call a very good sermon ... to just "Be". In being we live ..Thanks for the reminder Sandy!
ReplyDeleteSo much wisdom in that. To simply be and to stop trying to figure so many things out, tends to be a challenge for humans. Mostly, I think, to stop being so hard and critical of our own beingness, our own emotions, needs, and desires is something that would help us so much as we simply learn to "Be."
ReplyDeleteLove this one, Sandy.
Yes, be is the essence of life and living...but people often turn 'BEE' with it!
ReplyDeleteNice poem, Sandy :)

ReplyDeleteSnady- I love this...grammar incorporated into a poem (lol)! Perfectly done! Your pic of the church is beautiful as well! Interesting story with it. We went on a "pilgrimage" near easter to some old Chicago cathedrals- i went for the picture taking- I am not Catholic, but it was so lovely! Ah- and the history...
ReplyDeleteOh yes. ever and always be. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely-as always!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, my deceased Mother-in-law always said "Be ye kind one to another."
ReplyDeleteI wished I had another home in Topsail, N.C. It would be tempting to just stay there.
We are in Honfleur, France, for tonight and tomorrow night.
