These days in Connecticut, everything starts to look about the same--and I love all of it. It's an especial pleasure to wake early and enjoy the morning light on the leaves. Every panoramic landscape I can think of comes down to this.

we have billions of leaves... funny I have never thought about taking photos of them... they are quite beautiful in their own right thats for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. They are so essential to the rhythm of summer and winter. The colours are uplifting, and I always enjoy the smell!
ReplyDeleteI like the dimension in these. Also, the variety of colors just makes the photo!
ReplyDeleteOur leaves have all fallen except the Bradford pear.
ReplyDeleteThe muted colours are beautiful in this shot, I love them.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a little girl I used to pick up every pretty leaf I found and bring it inside to save; now my son does the same thing. It's terrible when a favourite will finally dry out and crumble, but fortunately (for now) there are plenty more to find!
Happy autumn, and happy My World Tuesday!
I also enjoy visiting here and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteOur leaves are pretty much fallen now, except for a few still hanging on for dear life. One big windstorm will probably bring them down, though. This is a great shot! :D
ReplyDeleteI love leaves when they change colors and explode in glorious reds and yellows or when they crunch under my feet as I take a walk.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving.
It is nice to see that you still have leaves...here everything's gone. =D Have a nice week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful macro Sandy of the winter leaves.
ReplyDeleteur leaves are almost gone. Tis would be a perfect oil painting study, those warm tones.
ReplyDeleteit's a beautiful leaves shot!
ReplyDeleteSandy: We are so much further along this year, no leaves left.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful isn't it even with those tones of brown we're seeing right now. Won't be long before it's all white.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I think leaves are the perfect subject for photos this time of year.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting to see trees and leaves in other countries during autumn. They have such beautiful colours. Our trees and leaves are just the same throughout the year with no colour except green...lol. We dont have four seasons.
ReplyDeleteI love your up close look at your world.
ReplyDeleteGreat close shot! Liked the curl of the leaf and the shadows.
ReplyDeleteI know y'all are winding down Fall and we are just getting our color but I love leaves of any color
ReplyDeleteGreat composition, Sandy.
ReplyDeleteI like very much the always optimistic way you look at the world.
Lookin' mighty crispy, Sandy. ;-}
ReplyDeleteThat's life for leaves and for us !

ReplyDeleteOh, do I love dead leaves in autumn. They take on a life of their own.

ReplyDeleteI can hear the crispy sound of walking in the leaves now.
ReplyDeletevery beautiful composition. wonderful details and color
ReplyDeleteIt's so great that you posted this today. I took several pictures of leaves on our lawn this past week. I was feeling kinda proud of some of them... I especially liked the way the light played on and through them. My husband just didn't get it. He couldn't understand why I'd do something like that. I was so excited to show him your site this morning. Sweet affirmation! Yes! Beautiful shot. Beautiful thought. Beautiful lady.
ReplyDeleteGreat CT My World post! Are we appreciating the brown leaves as much as we did the red and gold? Not likely! But you found beauty in them and shared that beauty...
ReplyDeleteMarie
The starkness of winter trees makes for melancholy picctures.
ReplyDeleteOur days are mostly the same, too. A very different "same" than yours, but there is nothing wrong with repetition, especially when there is beauty in it.
ReplyDeleteThe autumn leaves provide texture to the landscape as they dance in the wind, then spiral down. Soon the world will be quiet and covered in a downy blanket.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the autumn now? Here where I live we have winter and beautiful white snow;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful leaves-photo from you:)
yes...that is what things look like around virginia too...piles of leaves here and there wherever the wind blows them :)
ReplyDeletehave a great t-day.
