This week's blessing: the help of friends and family. I've come to a fork in the road and have needed the insights of the people I trust as I make my way forward. Good people that they are, my friends and family have offered me what they know, what they have seen happen, and what they think. They have made gifts of their caring and wisdom, leaving them at the table for me to make of what I will. They can't live my life; they can only help me live mine as well as possible.
They let me do that with a few careful words and just enough time and distance for me to make of them what I can and will.
Being loved is a beautiful thing; so is loving back. And oh, so necessary.
Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

Looking back, I can see that some of the worst things that happened to me, are the things I remember as being the best things that happened to me---if only for bringing my family round me and showing me how true my real friends were.

Oh Sandy, I'm feeling a lot of pain in your beautiful post...but along with that serenity. I hope you can gain strength to change what you can and to accept what has to be. Whatever you are going through, I know you will do what is best for yourself and everyone around you for you hold so much wisdom in every word you write.

I don't know what your going through right now, but I pray you feel the Lord wrapping His loving arms around you and holding you tight. It sounds like you have many loving friends and family around you in your time of need. You said it so true the love they have for you will guide you through. In whatever your experiencing I hope you know how much your words and picture bring encourgement to so many.
