Weekend Snapshot: Basque Travelers

This tile is a souvenir from the Basque region of Spain. These three have been walking in place with their meat, produce, and chicken for many years since a friend made a gift of it to me. This weekend they saw the light of day when I blew the dust off my shelves.

That would look god in a kitchen as a reminder of those who work hard. Definitely agreeing with Liza and Lynn.

The government of Spain announced this weekend (2/16-17) that they oppose the Kosovars' bid for independence.

It's because it would be seen as a blueprint for the secession of the Basques.

I say, "GO, Basques!" I wisd I could say it in Catalan or in euskara (the language of the Basques).
