Today's Flowers: Bougainvillea

The last photo I took in North Carolina this summer was of this bougainvillea blossom.  By the time I had the car packed, the flower had fallen to the ground and withered in the sun.  So fleeting and gentle is nature.

  5. You must be like the rest of the country about to start school. Good luck with your year. I think this flower was just so sad you were leaving it gave up. ;)

  6. This flower looks so like an oleander blossom? But I also love the word Bougainvillea...and you are so right, life fades so quickly.

  12. Oh no, is summer over? Already? (One pleasure of being old and retired is not caring. Sometimes I feel too old to enjoy that though.)

I hope you have a perfect school year (and your daughter too).
