Today's Flowers: Warm and Rich

From September 25, 2011

The marigolds and gourds at March Farms in Bethlehem, Connecticut, were very beautiful last weekend.  Orange and green are my favorite colors--green because it is lush and cool and fresh and orange because it is all fire and heat and lingering.

  7. Perfect! Happy October! It seems to me that today (October 1) should really be the start of Fall -- and your picture is just right for it. Your description of the colors is just exactly right too.

  12. Orange, and all its variations, has been my favorite color since childhood. Green? I live in the PNW, green is impossible to avoid, you have to love it. Your photos are delightful.

  27. Nothing says "Fall" like pumpkins and gourds. I need to buy some and start decorating. My marigolds got some kind of fungus midway through the summer and they were "done"!!! Have a lovely week, Sandy. I always enjoy your posts. Mickie :)
