Skywatch Friday: The Eyes Have It

I misplaced my glasses more than a year ago, so a lot of life is a blur. I rely on my camera to bring in the far-away wonders of my world. Last week in Virginia, I took my morning walk down a little service road that smelled like paradise. I looked up with my camera to discover an arbor of wisteria, above.

Closer to my nose, I enjoyed this view from the inside of the Capitol Building in Colonial Williamsburg. Things look like this to me even when the glass is not melting! Looking through this bullseye glass, I realized being clear and being transparent are not the same thing...

  6. Beautiful wisteria! I have vines over my deck that aren't quite this full yet.
    We used to take our students to Williamsburg when I lived in Virginia. Isn't it marvelous - such a sense of history!

    I love that blur and when I can't tell if a picture I've taken is any good (cause I can't see it well) and then I found it's good. I love that surprise. Gotta go look at some photos I took today of my friends cat named "Pet Pet Ping Pong."

    Wow, that's hard to believe without a photo, that wisteria would grow in that way. It must've been heaven! And the windows: it was so common in Connecticut to be in buildings with old glass like that and never here. I sort of miss that!

    So this is what wisteria is. On Norwegian television we can see the trouble at Wisteria lane, but I did not know what wisteria was. Thanks for inlightning me.

    I love the wysteria colors, and the flowing windows. You know, that's because glass is a super cooled liquid, so it continues to flow over decades.
