Out for a walk late this afternoon, a profusion of asters caught my eye. They were blooming alongside a dried stream, and they radiated light at a dull time of day. They were keeping some bees very busy, too.
Hi there - the flower is beautiful - and as much as this government would like to make me pay for any beauty I consume - you know, market forces and all that - wild flowers are still free!

Asters scream fall to me. I am ready for fall. This summer has been a scorched dry time. Bring on the fall rains, cooler weather and pretty asters.
