I love beaches. All of them. Even the modest, little ones. The air, the wide open space, the skies that roll on and on and all that quiet. Beaches in winter are great because the people who are there are there for the same things. No big radios, no loud conversations, no cigarettes stinking up the air, no greasy smells from the hot dog stand. Just pure light, air, earth, and wonder.

I love how you describe a winter beach. The pictures are great.
ReplyDeleteI am missing being on the beach since everything is so covered in snow right now - thank you for sharing these photos :-)
ReplyDeleteI love beaches too !!!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the peacefulness.
ReplyDeleteI always like to stroll along the beach too. I don't get there often. I do remember the quiet times I have spent on a beach. Thanks for reminding me about these lovely memories.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more!! Wonderful post for the day, Sandy! Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGreat words with the pics.
ReplyDeletelove your closeups and soothing words...wish I lived closer to the beach!
ReplyDeleteHeart beaches and everything about them to the very core. Wish to make a beach house some day :)
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Lovely reflections on the beauty of quiet beaches. We don't spend too much time on the beach here in Florida, because all those cigar smoking party beach people that you describe come down here during the winter. We stick to the non-touristy spots.
ReplyDeleteOregon beaches are pretty much like what you describe even in the summer time. You would like them.
mmmmmmm treasures!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Sandy. Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI love beaches also, big, small, sandy, grassy, muddy, swampy. They are best with not many people.
ReplyDeleteI agree fully with your sentiments, I could literally live on the beach, if it was possible. Who needs more than stunning views of sky and water, and the natural art around beats any expensive artwork made by man.;)
ReplyDeleteLovely photography as always.;)

Sandy, beautiful beach scenes. They have me longing for summer and visits to the beach. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
