We spent Thanksgiving weekend hanging out--miles and miles from any retail outlet. It was great--and quiet the way November is quiet.

I guess friends who were done for the season tossed up their cleats. This pair survived our last bout with bad weather.

I really enjoy the sight of the trees that line the pond at the bottom of the road. Their graceful and solid at the same time.

It looks like a quiet and still Thanksgiving. I've never understood the shoes hanging over overhead lines thing.
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is awesome!! Incredible reflection for the day and such beautiful colors! I'm like Yogi, never understood shoes hanging on overhead lines???? Hope you have a great week, Sandy, as we start the countdown to Christmas! I am getting SO excited about seeing at least three of my four kids for the holidays!! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI love your tree reflection photo that is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh that reflection is AMAZING! WOWZA!
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. That last one is breath-taking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall photos. I hate to see shoes dangling from wires. I always worry that someone was robbed of their shoes and tormented by having them tossed onto a line. For some reason this makes me sad.
ReplyDeletereally like that tree and reflection! nice!
ReplyDeleteFeels as if there's 'still noise' inside your pictures. Of life. Wanting to be lived.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Tuesday.

Yes, the last shot is a great framing.
ReplyDeleteLove the hanging shoes - there were a pair last year over telewires in st Ives, and were there still this year lol.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo is so nice reflecting the tree in the water. The colors also are very nice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the shoes blew in from Staten Island. And that image of the trees and pond is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love the pair of balloons and the lovely reflection of the tree. Shoes tossed over a wire have always intrigued me. Wikipedia has a fair bit to say about the practice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_tossing
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
