This rose was blooming in the front garden of a home in Salem, Massachusetts, a few weeks ago. I like the way roses push past the wind and cold to keep on being roses.

I have been watching one rose bush in particular, that did not bloom all summer I'm told, then when I was allowed out walking finally,(after surgery on left foot) it puts on 1 gorgeous rose at a time, like a well loved hat on a Sunday go to meeting lady...

ReplyDeleteI had roses which went strong until January/ February. They refused to stop and bloomed like crazy on thick stocks. I was sooo happy to see them.
