Today's Flowers: Hints of Autumn

Glimpses of autumn caught our eye as my daughter and I were walking along the swamp last weekend. The Easter-like colors that day were a nice reminder that life continues though it changes form. The temperatures combined with Storm Isaac's shrugging his shoulder at us have combined to remind us that it is, indeed, still summer, and summer can be a hot and muggy time.

  12. Hi Sandy,

Thanks for the reminder. I don't know if I'll have a poem ready for my prompt in time. Have been sick for a couple of weeks. I'll check in once OSI is up.
BTW, the photos of the goats are wonderful!

  13. There were hints of autumn in the air when I left NE but I knew it would get hot and muggy again! You would think that here in the desert we would be hot and dry, but no. The monsoon is still in full swing and we set a record for the all time high amount of moisture in the atmosphere over Tucson 2 days ago! Muggy and humid here too! Lovely pics. I hope your autumn coolness returns soon! Thanks for the comments on my poetry blog!

Our humidity must have been at an all time high this year. But the blooming of certain plants say there's respite in sight and that's what I've posted...Your photos are very beautiful!

  15. That ole Isaac did a wonderful thing here. He pushed a lot of rain into our drought stricken area. I couldn't be happier. Love your pictures. It reminds me that autumn is coming. Change is coming.

  17. Nice pictures. It's def still summer here. Hot, and uncharacteristically muggy. But the desert is blooming beautifully.
