I always like to think that turtles are constant. When I see them drying up with the very waters they thrive in during the drought I feel a loss. Like a constant isn't going to be so. Scary. I like your poem and the soothing cool waters with happy turtles therein.

Sometimes I think that after humans are extinct there will still be turtles sitting on logs.
