I love it when I manage to get up in time for sunrise over the pier. This was a morning when there weren't too many folks up yet. Most days, though, the beach is hopping with every shape and form of human being working out, staking a claim to some sandy real estate, or fishing. Topsail is in no way commercial, and the people who are at the beach are there for the beach. (If you need a water slide to make your day, you don't need the beach.) It's a peaceful place.

Nothing like a Beach Sunrise!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture!
Perfect-I'm missing beaches and water of any kind-guess it's time for another vacation, this time to the NW
ReplyDeleteDoesn't get any better than sunrise at the beach and what a glorious way to start the day! What a gorgeous capture, Sandy! Hope you had a good 4th and a good week so far! Hope the heat and storms haven't been too bad where you are!

Sounds like my kind of place.
ReplyDeleteWe are going to Gulf Shores, Alabama again. Lots of condos but not any commercial activity on the beach. Not much happens before 10 am except for the runners, walkers, photographers, metal detector guys, bloggers, and fishermen. In the morning there is room for all of us.
So beautiful, and so nice that you had it almost to yourself.
