One Single Impression: Hourglass

Hours pass

And pure white sand

(Once a ragged mountain)

Sifts soft and fine
Through your hands.

You whisper,
And it's gone.

One Sigle Impression

  4. Fabulous! When I was 3 or 4, my grandmother gave me a blue roaster filled with white sand. I felt it was such a treasure as I sifted it through my fingers. I would play for hours with this sand. I felt so special!

Of all the hourglasses I've read thus far, this is IT!

  14. Sandy, I can feel the loneliness creeping in here. And isn't it nice that all the hourglasses use pure white sand? That must be a tradition.

  17. It is funny how those whispers can often remain as thunderous hurtful shouts in our mind. Even mountains are eventually reduced to sand.
