On Thursday evening, Della, Clyde and I took a walk and literally watched the autumn displace summer as the wind grew strong, yellowing leaves fell, trees swayed, wind roared, and grey skies tumbled in like a drum roll. On Saturday, Clyde and I took a little walk and felt the change in season take a firm hold in the wildflowers. Here are a few.

  2. It's nice to see so many colors.
    Here in BC its always green as opposed to out east where the scenery is now changing to firey red

    I wrote a red shoes poem for tomorrows blog.

  4. Autumn is here too. I have jeans on for the second day in a row. Don't you just love these cooler temps? I do. Love seeing the wildflowers too. Goldenrod really screams autumn. That golden yellow is so cheerful. The last hurrah so to speak.

  13. Wildflowers get decreasing with the coming of autumn,doesn't it?
    Around here it's still hot,though. I don't know the flower of the first photo,it's cotton,I wonder?

  14. I just returned from southern Europe where summer still rules nature. However, here in Scandinavia the seasonal shift is now taking place.;))
