“Solitude is not something you must hope for in the future. Rather, it is a deepening of the present, and unless you look for it in the present you will never find it.” (Thomas Merton)
It seems like so many people are suddenly rushing around right now trying to cram as much summer as they can into the last few days. To me solitude is so much more refreshing. Lovely photo accompanying this quote.
Beautiful quote and very true... Love the surf - I hope Top Sail will survive the coming storm. Have a lovely weekend dear Sandy and thank you so much for your always kind comments, xoxo

ReplyDeleteA MAN WHO LOOKED UP AT THE SKY
A man who looked up at the sky
Saw ravens and clouds flying by.
He had to look up,
The sky filled his cup—
He’s my kind of sky-watching guy!
