Rambling
too far away too far gone
no trace of what was
no word
no nothing
You have rambled,
Leaving behind
A simple and neat silence
As unnecessary as it is final
In that silence
I have learned to feel something
a trace of what is
something
You have rambled;
I have tuned my heart
To the hum of the air
When it does not move
In that calm before the storm
I contemplate
Rambling.

Rambling is always fun!
ReplyDeletei like that word rambling as long as it doesn't lead downward...I'm trying to focus on acting not reacting.

ReplyDeleteRambles on--
I don't know what to say today. I first thought of a dog I know named ramber because he came rambling into his families life. I think I like those thoughts best.
ReplyDeleteSo true. People ramble on, as well as the world. So we tune our hearts to hear a hum of voices all talking, wishing to be heard.but the sounds are not words but a resulting hum, too far gone but growing like an ebbing wave, a calm before the storm.
ReplyDeleteWow! Great stuff!:)
Trust seems to spring from silence sometimes, doesn't it?
