This osprey lives about a quarter of a mile away from my parents' home in North Carolina. An intrepid hunter and excellent mother, she has a lot to say about many things.
Did you take these pictures, they are amazing... I find it so utterly fascinating when I see photography of birds, as I yet have to capture some decent images. The Scandinavian birds are too shy and very difficult to approach, I am always so surprised seeing so many close up images on so many blogs of such a variety of wild birds.;) xo
Your photography always amazes me! How do you do it? I miss all the wildlife I grew up with. That I saw near the water's edge. I wonder....do they miss me, too? When I leave this desert, I will miss the wildlife here as well. Nature is such a blessing. You honor it in a beautiful way.
Gorgeous, amazing, spectacular photos! We have ospreys visit on occasion (outside of Seattle), but the bald eagles chase them away. It's all fascinating. How can people say bird-watching is boring?!
Sandy. I was needing a bird fix :) and these are amazing.
We visited a reserve in Florida years ago.. it was full of osprey and their nesting places, butterflies, and the trees had been the recent victim of fire ... I believe there was a connection. And it was so incredible , the birthing and dying .

ReplyDeleteYou must be able to get fairly close to this bird to get such great shots. Fun. They pass through our area but never stop to set up housekeeping.
