LOL...how well I remember the chocolate bunnies of childhood and "off with their heads" was the first order of business! What a fun post Sandy, thank you!
Great poem and I NEED to remember this "you do not satisfy" whenever I contemplate eating things that are a moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips :)
This made me smile, as I agree with you. Never was much for chocolate bunnies, they appeared so mundane and I loved fillings, which they lacked.;) But the wrapping was always enticing to me thus I often kept them.;)) Have a lovely Sunday, xoxo
Man, still another month away, though. Even if they're not quite as satisfying as the could/should be, there's a perverse pleasure in biting off bunny chunks. :)
Oh Snady! Perfect for the prompt- loved it! And I agree- always lured in by the outer packaging and "substance" but never enough- never! It looks like you are on Spring Break? Enjoy!!!

I believe the chocolate love in you has been exposed. Nothing hollow about that. The Easter Bunny will be making note of that.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and so true. A hollow bunny, never satisfies. It makes one aware that we want substance.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Sandy.
That's what all chocolate lovers say! Me? I could do without. . . except I do love chocolate licorice. . .
ReplyDeleteHa.. nicely done. And you've awakened a craving for chocolate.. which is never far from the surface.

A fun poem with a deeper metaphor within the wrapping. Excellent.

wow! i believe some people live lives like they are hollow. as if nothing good is in them when in fact they are special.

Yum! Hollow bunny...delicious! I can see how this little rabbit cannot satisfy once the chocolate has been consumed. This is a delicious poem Sandy.
