This is the sight I beheld every time I ventured onto the beach after lunch last summer. The clouds were big, sprawling masses of moisture and movement and light. I would lie on my towel and watch them move and make my own sense of the shapes that formed in the sky. One day I watched a turtle follow an alligator across the sky. I don't know where they went, but it was a happy dream.
