Here is some of what's left of leaf life at Three Rivers Park in Woodbury, Connecticut. These days I'm calling it Clyde's Park because that's where he likes to spend his free time roaming, checking out other dogs of all sizes, and tempting us into the thickets as he makes his way for the chilly waters of the Pomperaug River. The light is low and soft, and the ground is sleepy this time of year, but the air smells very, very good.

ReplyDeleteGreat post, as usual Sandy. It's rather a stark time of year for pics, isn't it? I don't know if I should bother taking my camera with me right now!!!

Beautiful late autumn photos! There is beauty even in the lateness of the season- you captured the essence perfectly.

The relics of summer past and your lyrical description of the yawning, sleepy earth are so evocative of late autumn.
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers in your feature photos. Great lighting and clarity.
Have yourself a sunny week with great doggy walks.
Such a beautiful blue. Yes, the light this time of year is low and soft, and very comforting.
