Here's a view of the sun slipping away as we watched it while we stood in the mud of the Pomperaug River in Woodbury on Saturday. That time of day at the park is very nice because it is full of people who like dogs and like being outside. So there are strangers up and down the path talking to each other about their dogs and saying, "Have a nice weekend," and it is very nice. Except for the guy who said, "My dog is not friendly; you might want to put yours on a leash." But you always get one. (Clyde didn't want a piece of that German Shepherd, anyway!)

Isn't it amazing that there's always one like this guy?? Ah, well, like master, like dog!!! Gorgeous sunset and breathtaking capture as always, Sandy! I do hope that you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving and one free of the grumpy guys!! Blessings and love to you and yours!

lol Happy Thanks giving To you. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely scene. Too bad that guy's dog was unfriendly. Unfortunately, I can relate to him. My Daisy is wonderful at home, but is hostile to other dogs. We think it may be because of whatever exploits she had as a runaway. We got her as a rescue. Anyway, sounds like a nice place to go for walks with nice dogs and nice people.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
A beautiful scene.. except for the unfriendly dog.. which made me smile. I love how you words things.. and your sunset is divine.

ReplyDeleteMy dog wasn't friendly to other female dogs. She was a real bitch in two ways. I had to keep her on the leash all the time.
Beautiful picture and a very enjoyable post.;) To bad that some dogs are unfriendly, but I guess it is just like with people.;)) Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving,

Pets are a magnet for people to get together in friendly chatter. Sounds like a wonderful evening in a gorgeous (and a bit muddy?) setting. :)

Great image. It looks like a great place to take your dog on a walk. I'm sure that guy is really berating himself for not being very nice to you and talking bad about his dog.
