Here are some summertime flowers reflected in the dull and dirty mirrored glass of the arcade at Ocean Beach Park. I like this photo, though it's far from good. It reminds me things are not always what they appear and it's better to look on from afar, to play gently with what you see rather than be played by it.

Very wise words. I really like this photo, the colors are great and the blur gives it a surreal look.

Your message is so appropriate with the nice framing of your shot, Sandy.

your words and association of ideas are so true ......!!
ReplyDeleteI love this photograph. I think the way it was shot through the window gives it a dreamy quality. I would have guessed fog if you hadn't told us what it was. Wonderful words too.

ReplyDeleteWe agree! A flower is always beautiful anyway, anywhere, anytime you look at it...and mostly when the looker is happy!

It's Sunday - Do You Know Where You Are?
You know what, it looks to me that you dreamed of summer flowers, and somehow managed to take your camera with you. What a beautiful post for a grey November day!!
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is already yesterday,
ReplyDeletegently, through ...
Magnificent!
I agree, Sandy. Also in the photography it's better to "create" the image, to try putting in it our feelings and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI like this picture too. I am attracted to the "vanishing" look.
ReplyDeleteStill, the strong yellow calls out, come!
your reality is my imagination

I wouldn't call it "far from good" at all. Sometimes it just is what it is.
ReplyDeleteSandy: Very interesting to look from a different perspective.

those are healthy and beneficial flowers. thanks for dropping by. (",)
ReplyDeleteOne can never be too cautious by taking things as they appear rather than as you might want to see them.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy--
ReplyDeleteA little filter is a good thing...and, like Amias, I don't mind being played a little, but it has to be a mutual thing!
Love to you-and I really like your creative poem for OSI, just re-read it. Going further into that darkness is the only way, eventually...
Excellent advice .. and a sad but interesting perspective on the reflection
ReplyDeleteNice catch Sandy, the dull and dirty glass gives a lovely softening fog effect.
ReplyDelete"To play gently with what you see rather than be played by it." Yes, that's the trick, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
