Very early Veterans' Day morning, I took a little walk while the mechanics in town worked on my car. The day was so still, so tucked in, that the biggest sound seemed to be my camera. Every time I pressed the shutter, I felt like I was shaking our rural universe. Even my thoughts seemed too loud for the day.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Sandy. I know that feeling well though. You feel like you're invading the beauty.. but it's there for you to enjoy and share. Thank you for that.
ReplyDeleteI've experienced that kind of quiet. Not often, but when I did it was just like these photos. Wonderful job!
ReplyDeletewell if you didn't have a camera, you could quietly paint a picture of the scenic beauty or write a story?
ReplyDeleteyou captured the tranquility of the morning so well...
ReplyDeleteI'm prejudiced since I grew up in the country, but I think there is a majestic tranquility to rural America. Your pictures captured that beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful rural scene, that speaks of the rural America other commenters have mentioned. My sons used to have a toy barn that looked exactly like this, and all the farm animals and hay stacks packed away inside it when it wasn't in use.
ReplyDeleteJanice.

ReplyDeleteI would wander around for a long while in search of such calm images. I can feel them here.
