great title, it put me to thinking what my corny moments were...yesterday we had tamales and they were wrapped in corn husks-guess that qualifies. Nice photos.
That scarecrow is spooky. The corn around here is brown. It doesn't make you think too much about corn. It looks so forlorn. Sad really, and it doesn't take a frost to bring corn to this state. I hope the farmers can get into the fields soon to pick. It is way too wet right now.
love it i loved walking corn fields as a kid and raw corn straight off the stalks! got one heck of a spanking over picking it out of the neighbors field without permission :O
The first photo reminds me of some of the old horror movies from the seventies. They don't seem so scary any more, but I still prefer the stalks themselves against the sky!
Lately every photo essay I come across sings to me .. this one is - surprise - singing "the corn is as high as an elephant's eye and it looks like it climbing clear up to the skyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy"
Once upon a time we had corn fields in Orange County, but those days are long gone now. Thanks for sharing YOUR 'corny' shots ... nifty post! Hugs and blessings,
