I like this color. I usually see white or pink. I always think they look like they are made of crepe paper. THey look so delicate but are very hardy plants.
I saw one of these at the garden centre and couldn't resist bringing home a white one. I'm glad to hear you call it a 'tree' because I bought it to cover an ugly spot in the house's foundation LOL and hoped it would get big!!
Oh how I wish I could grow a Rose of Sharon. My mother has tried and tried to no avail either. We just must be in the wrong agricultural zone which is Zone 3. Great photo!

ReplyDeleteI didn't realize those grew so far north. We have them all over the place down here, but I thought they were a warmer climate loving species.
