Almost looks like something out of War of the Worlds or some such. giant looming figures over the horizon and all that.

But they're too fluffy to be malevolent Martian invaders. Then again, the winds inside those clouds could do some real damage...

I just love clouds when they pile up like this. So soft looking.

That's the quintessential beautiful blue and white sky!

Doesn't get any better with clouds like that against a blue sky! Terrific shot, Sandy!

You know, I think I have only been to Ocean Beach Park once or twice as a child. I have just returned from 2 weeks of rain in CT. Where did you find these blue skies? Love the contrast of the puffy white clouds with the spikey green grass.

Soft clouds against the dark blue skies, very lovely!

Love the tall grasses in the foreground. Brilliant shot, Sandy. Where ever did you find a sunny day? My sisters are ready to start building an ark!

i love the perspective. i feel like a child laying in the grass.

Now those are some puffy clouds. They appear to be taking over the sky and about to march upon the landscape.

I really love this one: I feel I'm lying in the grass watching clouds float by. Wouldn't I love to be! LOL

You do get around a lot. I was thinking along the lines of Mojo, but Day of the Triffids. Beauty but you never know.

Very nice composition with the grass, the clouds, the blue sky.
Our subjects are similar in this week's Sky Watch, Sandy!

White fluffy gravity defying towers! Julia Child may have called them the perfect consistency of beaten egg whites. ;-)

Oh my. What a beautiful sky. The northeastern US this spring and early summer has been a feast of amazing clouds (and so much rain of course) and you've captured a real stunning image. The perspective is one that I've always loved - as if you were walking up a steep hill right into the sky. Excellent!

They came from earth and to the earth shall they return.

Beautiful sky and clouds. Makes me wonder what I would see if I inched forward and peeked at the horizon.

wow it has been a long time since i visited - look at how much i have missed.
these clouds are amazing - you know we don't get clouds like this as they are usually wispy ones or fog (that comes in on cat's feet). sometimes we see these in the distance but not enough to truely see them or get any shade from them
