I could move
Could go places--
Would circle the globe
If I had feeling
A pulse
Breath and heart
Call it life
I could move
With the just right
Electricity
A light touch
To the heart
Contact
Just enough
Heat and light
Really that's all
Just enough
And I would go
One Single Impression

you indeed do have just the right electricity:
ReplyDeleteI SING the Body electric;
The armies of those I love engirth me, and I engirth them;
They will not let me off till I go with them, respond to them,
And discorrupt them, and charge them full with the charge of the Soul.

Strangely melancholy... and a perfect image to go with it...
ReplyDeleteYou sound like a kite ready to come away.
ReplyDeleteThere's always that urge there ... I've found these days that traveling mentally is just as rewarding as the physical journal, and also takes less of a toll ...
ReplyDeleteLovely poem. Move on, just move on.
ReplyDeleteThat is really wonderful.
ReplyDeletewonderful poem, full of adventure and hope
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of circling the globe. Here is my real link: http://deowriter.wordpress.com/2009/02/08/one-singlr-impression-movement/
ReplyDeleteJust enough. It kind of reinforces the feeling..
ReplyDeletemovement
Indeed...there can be much movement when there is life there to give strength to one.
ReplyDeleteWe all need different sources of energy to sustain us in our journey.
I would love to blink my eyes and move wherever I desire ... visit other worlds through electronic wires .. now that would be nice.
ReplyDeletethere's such a sense of wistful long in this poem, Sandy. The "if" that says that touch that "just enough" isn't here yet. Hope it comes soon.
ReplyDeleteEach short line had sparks of desire and energy...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful light touch this poem is! May you be sustained and moved with just breath and pulse.
ReplyDeleteLovely, with a hint of longing but I sense a coming resolve on the horizon.
ReplyDeleteReally nice, with the picture hint I'd say you were too busy being time keeper to go. :-)
ReplyDelete..
Hi Sandy--
ReplyDeleteI suspect you do go...in your dreams, in your art. Your art certainly moves us...
Many thanks, for all you do--and are.
"I could move
ReplyDeleteWith the just right

A thoughtful poised could be, held back by a gentle, preventative but. Delicate promises of perhaps and maybe. Thank you
the short choppiness is fitting here.

ReplyDeleteLooks simple but hold great meaning within !!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be great?
ReplyDeleteSmooth and delightful!
ReplyDeleteI sense a grounding I often feel..like yesterday on a long scenic drive to the other side of the Island. I couldn't seem to capture so many varying landscapes from mountain to sea? Yet, I managed those which were up close and near to me?
ReplyDeleteA perfect tribute to this wonderful prompt. Bravo Sandy, bravo!!!
ReplyDeleteSmooth and direct
ReplyDeletea dream I'd like "to circle the globe"
Hope you can someday!
I like the sensibility of time and movement in the photograph. Your poetry not only reminds, but also encourages me, of my ability to move and go places.
ReplyDeleteNeat-reminds me of the wind-where it goes and where it comes from-no one knows.
ReplyDeleteNicely written Sandy! I love the words "I could move- could go places"...that's what I want to do...go places. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful expression of yearning.
ReplyDeletePerfect poetic words to go with the photo!
