Here is the rest of my parents' neighbor featured below. Leaving him behind in the country and heading down to New Haven will put you in the company of this damsel, who is lovely but about as conversant as a mule.
This artist chick hangs around the Yale Art Gallery all the time. She's a liberated lady and doesn't mind if you stare. We did; she didn't flinch.

I do love that mule! Looks so friendly. :) Now the lady, I'm happy to see she has a little pooch too! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth nice, the mule and the art :-)
ReplyDeletelol... what we call a liberated woman, my mom would have called a brazen hussy. She's a pretty thing, though... if you go for the slightly masculine facial structure found in classic beauties.
ReplyDeleteI commented on your mule on the last post. Not too much to add here...
Fun post. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI always love your photos, but your commentary makes them so much more special! I like the lady in this post, with her very real tummy instead of an infomercial's six-pack thanks to the Abdominiser. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era...
ReplyDeleteSandy: She may not mind if you stare because she is cold because of her lack of dress.
ReplyDeleteLike Susan, I love your commentary as well as the photos. Love the mule and the lady does look cold! Great shots, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteboth are nice shots. love those art in building facades.
ReplyDeleteThe mule is great. Like everyone else, I always love the photos and words.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, some what different, lol. Bet she gets cold at night.
ReplyDeleteAs they say if you've got it flaunt it, but not in wintertime. I'll go along with the above it's both narrative and images that just click.
ReplyDeletefun photos and comments...don't think I've ever talked to a mule. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThe lady obviously enjoys showing a bit of leg!
ReplyDeleteNow that's an odd couple!
ReplyDeleteThe mule and the liberated lady both have their own unique beauty.
ReplyDeleteAlan Funt said it best: What do you say to a naked lady?
ReplyDeleteI was wondering whose eye could that be! :)
ReplyDeleteFun post!
what a fun post this is. A mule and a liberated lady both in CT. You have rural and urban just a short drive from each other. and you are right she did not flinch when we took her picture.
ReplyDeleteI like the mule (and the previous eye close-up) and the portrait of a real woman in stone. The art world was much more believable before airbrushes and digital cameras.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the mule isn't quite as cute as just the eye! But he's a great contrast to the winged lady, except for their lack of conversation, and perhaps not much sense of humor, either.
ReplyDeleteI prefer the mule! You actually got a really nice photo of it.
ReplyDeleteI like the mule. Lady looks cold to me.
ReplyDeleteFun world you live in! Wonder if the art students ever see the mule?
ReplyDeleteThe mule reminded me of an old TV show, the talking horse Mr Ed. :) The winged lady looked beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like your picture of the mule. I'm surprised the artist chick didn't catch pneumonia this week!
ReplyDeleteWinged women have always fascinated me! Aloha-
ReplyDeleteThe mule is adorable!
ReplyDeleteYou come up with some of the most wonderful photos Sandy ...
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Sandy. Two very good subjects.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun i am still laughing on that comment
ReplyDeleteI blush on seeing the nude lady. :P
ReplyDeletean odd combination yet it makes the post very special.
ReplyDeleteI always loved encounters with farm animals as a kid. Looks like many of the mules that occupied the stalls at my grandfather's farm through the years. Have a great week. Pappy
ReplyDeletewhat a fun post.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your photos and 'love' your humor;) Thank's for the visit
ReplyDeleteAnd there you have it - both ends of the spectrum. T & A ... LOL - sorry, but I couldn't resist...D
ReplyDeleteCool pics. And since you mentioned Yale University what are you hearing up there about Geronimo's great grandson wanting Skull and Bones to give back the remains of Geronimo?
ReplyDeleteGreat narrative and photos, Sandy!

Great fun post as usual, love the mule and that's quite a lady!
ReplyDeleteIt's too cold here to feel liberated, lol !
ReplyDeleteIt's too cold here to dress liberated, lol !
ReplyDeleteI don´t know what to stare more. I stare at them both!
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I'd be telling on myself if I mentioned Francis the talking Army mule wouldn't I?
ReplyDeleteYeah... thought so.
And hey. Who doesn't love images of women lying around naked in the outdoors.
Eating fruit.
Recumbent.
Those Yalies really know how ot live don't they?
He's a beauty! And the bas-relief is a great artwork! Thanks for sharing, Sandy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to my Mt. Baker post. You mule looks very wise and sturdy, ready for a trek into the back country. - Margy
ReplyDeleteMr. Mule looks like he's a very nice boy, coat eater that he is!
ReplyDeleteTwo very different images, both are wonderful. I love old architecture.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post and photos.
ReplyDeleteThe mule has such a sweet face, very curious about what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteWe could all learn from that lady. No matter what they say about you don't give a care about it just go on and be yourself.
Thanks for being here.
