Just an ordinary day. I love the light of late autumn. The early dark appeals to me, perhaps because I am a bit of a homebody and early dark means going in and enjoying a book or the company of whomever is around.

Hi Sandy, a comforting thought to accept the earlier darkness during winter. The evening clouds
ReplyDeletesettling above the shadowy trees is a lovely picture.
Sandy, the skywatch link does not show. Thank you and have a nice day. (Here it is Friday 6AM, usually the link comes on before 5AM.)
Sandy, I have found the link. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteMothership will land any moment! :-)

What a greate picture, and your worlds. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful swirls and deep blues in this one. Late autumn does seem to have more sky-drama, and I love that. Seeing the trees go bare and remembering how beautiful their silhouettes are against the sky, is wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF!
I love to interpret clouds and these look like some fast animal running across the sky just above the trees. I saw it as soon as I opened the page. Beautiful sky Sandy.
ReplyDeleteThere is no place like home - even when it comes to photography.
ReplyDeleteThe clouds are lovely and clean. I love that icey look of the sky.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way - I like it when it gets dark early! I also really like your photo - Very nice capture!
ReplyDeleteWispy clouds are never ordinary, are they? Very nice!

ReplyDeleteSandy, I like that cozy feeling too and your photo gives it to me.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful sky. Lovely, Sandy.
ReplyDeletethat sounds like me the early dark makes me so want to stay home
ReplyDeleteBefore I read your quote I was thinking the low cloud looked like a space ship. After reading the quote I thought, well I guess I'll hop on board and ride it to a different few of the sun. I'm with you. I like the dark coming earlier, at least for a few months. I like change so each season has its advantages.
ReplyDeleteI really like the patterns and shapes of these clouds... like arms reaching out. Very serene Sandy.
ReplyDeleteIt means I get to watch sunrise and sunset easily. Lovely capture, Sandy!
ReplyDeleteI count three diffrent types of cloud here I think. Lovely picture with the sun putting in a grand entrance. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSo many people dread the short days of winter. What a positive and lovely spin you've put on the pluses of early darkness. Excellent Sandy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture Sandy. I love the blue sky! The accompanying quote is very inspiring, too!

ReplyDeleteI love clouds when they look white and fluffy like this! Beautiful picture. Happy SWF!
ReplyDeleteA lovely Sky Watch photograph, Sandy. I, too, enjoy the earlier darkening. Brings out the hibernation desire in me.
ReplyDeleteOh i love this photo, looks like a space ship for sure.

Great cloud looming above the trees.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and I love the words too
ReplyDeleteYes,it must be sunny through out, out there in the space. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteHappy sky watch Friday
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful photo.
Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. It is getting harder and harder to get really good shots when it gets dark so early but you have done so. I didn't play this week because of my slow connection.
I didn't want to link my name in and then maybe not be able to visit everyone that dropped in on me.
But I did make a post if you get a chance.

ReplyDeleteI understand perfectly the way you feel, I'm the same kind of person. I love knowing I have a good reason to stay comfortly home.
Love the quote too. Sun shines constantly for who appreciate watching.
You learnt me that "whomever" existed, That will be the english word of my day : ) Now I have to find an opportunity to use it correctly.
Beautiful picture with great clouds!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm a homebody too! Love the quote.
ReplyDeletenice swirly cloud! it reminds me of the swirling skies in "starry night". :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, Sandy! :)
ReplyDeleteSandy, that's anything but ordinary. You've got a couple of different types of clouds going on there, at a couple of different depths. A lovely sight to see!

I'm a home body as well, I could stay there all day and just look up at the sky! Nice shot. Happy Friday!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking at the sky here.
It's dark outside here too, but inside it's warm and light with a lot of candles burning.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
Very cool cloud formation capture! I need to take on your outlook about the shortened days......I also need to work on my indoor photography :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunning shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Reading through your last few blog posts that I had a chance to catch up on today, I sense a introspective look, a quiet spirit, and perhaps some sadness. I love your thoughtful input on things and always, I love the quotes. Very lovely! All of them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual and beautiful sky ... I don't believe I've seen such formations together before. Like you ... dark brings me indoors to read, write ... or cuddle with Molly. I share my Sky Watch with Haikku at my newest blog today and signed it with it to make it easy for you to find.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Amazing capture, Sandy!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy
ReplyDeleteHere the sun sets and rises at the same time all year round When you are only 5 degrees from the equator we get equal light and dark. Makes life easy.
Beautiful Sandy!
ReplyDeleteMy workspace is in a cellar and dont get out into open as often. Usually it will be dark when I am done for the day. Sometimes when I happen to go out before darkness descends, the first thing I do is lift my head and look the blue of the sky. It calms my nerves at the very instant.
ReplyDeleteStriking photo!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how ordinary days can have extraordinary skies - if we just take a minute to look up!? We should be looking up more, I think!
ReplyDeleteordinary, but beautiful day...
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit of a homebody too. :) Love that sky!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being here.
