Here's a broken boat doing its part to create some ambiance at Captain's Cove in Bridgeport, Connecticut. A capped landfill creates the skyline in the background of this little marina, where restaurants, ice cream shops, and gift shops together create a place worth visiting for a little while, strangely enough.

looks fun, i assume this photo was taken in summertime...my husband loves boats...
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the word Conneticut reminds me of my brother who is long time passed. He lived in Conneticut for many years. He was a career Coast Guardsman so the water and boat strikes home too. Beautiful photo for sure.
ReplyDeleteI like how you have the old boat in the foreground, stretching back to the water and other boats, then land, then sky. Like it pulls your eye in a zigzag, looking at the features and details.
ReplyDeleteI love the composition of this photo. I am intrigued by Connecticut. Someday, I hope to find my way photographing the Right side of the country.
ReplyDeleteBlessed New Year to you and yours.
Very relaxing view. Moored boats just waiting are always such a peaceful sight.
ReplyDeleteI just love these old boats, they make a great shoot, nice work Sandy.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors both bright and muted in this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful composition! Lovely, quiet and lovely spot. Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThe "broken boat" does it's part well in creating ambiance! I could sit at it's side for quite a while listening for the stories it has to tell.
ReplyDeleteI have no difficulty at all imaging that this would be a place worthy of spending an afternoon (or two) wandering through.
I am "fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there."
Very nice photo. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNice shot, old boats a re fun.

ReplyDeleteLovely photo. I am sure the boat is well travelled and had a lot of stories to tell. Happy New Year to you and your family.
