I was missing the yellows of autumn this year. It seemed we had gone from green to deep red to brown to nothing until I discovered some lovely trees in a forgotten corner of Waterbury on Sunday.
i guess beautiful things can really come from unexpected places... as robin said, the play of shadow and light is lovely... and these yellow leaves seem to have captured the sunbeams to brighten our autumn days:)
Gorgeous! I haven't seen much yellow about either. It does seem to have gone straight to browns and reds here too (now you mention it.) Although I have one little patch of yellow now I come to think of it.
How beautiful, Sandy! I miss all the colors of fall living here in the south! I am flying into Boston Saturday for a Pajama Party weekend with my sisters, and driving back. I am hoping to see some remnants along the way!
Our entire back yard is full of trees with yellow leaves. It seems they all dropped their leaves at the same time. Looked like a solid sheet of yellow! And folks kept on driving off the driveway because you couldn't see where the driveway ended and the yard began!
Just returned from a trip to Longboat Key/Florida. Although I enjoyed the lovely and warm beaches, this place don't have autumn colors. I enjoyed looking at your photo of yellow leaves. You doubled my happiness.
We have all of the lovely yellow leaves - they took over our back yard and are now waiting for a dry weekend to be raked away. They sure were pretty though before they fell - the way the sun behind them makes them glow - beautiful shot.
Beautiful! I would have missed it too. This year the leaves have been so colorful with red and orange and brown and yellow and I was lucky enough to see yellow almost everywhere I walked.
I was anything BUT wordless on both blogs yesterday, but I do love seeing ‘the yellow of Autumn’ and had to say thanks … just because ;--) Hugs and blessings,
