My daughter and I arranged some dried roses and hydrangea this weekend. "Looks kind of crazy, huh?" I laughed as we struggled with the brittle blossoms. "Yeah. And that's a good thing!" she replied. She was right.
Oh but what a lovely picture it made. It's super and I would say almost an abstract. Oh my roses did so poorly this year. I was away for 5 months and I lost about half of my bushes.
I do so love to bring the last ones of each season in and hang them to dry also.
Happy WS:-))
P.S. thank you so much for stopping by and seeing mine. My heater decided to quit working today and I am running late everything!!
I love floral arrangements. My only problem is the dusting involved with silk or dried arrangements and the wilting of the fresh arrangements. Still. Flowers add so much atmosphere to a room.

ReplyDeletewow, love your closeup, that's how I feel inside somedays...
ReplyDeleteI love the 'antique' look of dried flowers. They're a wonderful memory of summer and a bit of age mellows the colours just right.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I hope that applies to people my age too! LOL
wow, you grow roses! :D it must be a beautiful garden, sandy.

ReplyDeleteNice to improvise in this way. I've got a few roses on a couple of my bushes, but I'll need to cut them back soon.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
it's very rare to see bloggers feature a rose this close and in an angle that makes you think how beautiful each petals are.
